Gulf Coast Teaching Family Services, Inc. (GCTFS) is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1983 in Louisiana to provide comprehensive human service programs for Louisiana citizens, children and adults, with various physical and mental challenges.

Gulf Coast Teaching Family Services is dedicated to provide the people we serve with the highest possible quality of life and to enable them to live as independently as possible in their communities.

Gulf Coast Teaching Family Services' mission is to empower people with mental, physical, behavioral, and other challenges to improve the quality of their lives and to live as independently as possible in the community.

We strongly believe in our new motto: "Personal Care. Quality Outcomes."

An Explanation of Our Logo:

The logo was a gift to Gulf Coast Teaching Family Services, Inc. when it was founded.

The circles signify people with their arms wrapped around one another, helping one another, supporting one another.

The white sections are filled with thousands of dots which represent the thousands of people of all races, colors, and creeds who make up our communities, each person serving a part to make the community the best it can be, making each person the best he/she can be.

If everyone puts into their communities their very best and helps one another to their very best, we won’t need service providers.
