The SIL program's first goal is to enable consumers to live independently in the community: it achieves so much more by offering venues for them to socialize and develop friendships. Four Baton Rouge SIL clients agreed to go on vacation together and their direct care workers decided to join in. The party of eight went on a cruise to Cozumel last month. They all had a great time, as can be seen on the snapshot below.
